Wild Hogs follows four middle-aged men losing excitement in their daily aspects of life. The premise is something we've all seen before, yet it can still be done well with the right group of people. Mixing John Travolta, Martin Lawrence, Tim Allen, and William H. Macy is something that truly would not, and could not have been predicted by anybody.

The Village is about these people, this community living in fear, not the monsters of which they have been warned; it is about the psychology of fear rather than a horrific portrayal of it. Shyamalan's pattern of there being twists in the plot, but this time there are several of them and they occur sporadically throughout the film.
