It concerns a family of "screwballs" that live life the way it was meant to be lived- carefree and in pursuit of the things that makes one happy. It is the funniest screwball movie ever made. As funny as it is, the best part is that it is full of heart.

The entire cast is outstanding with Samuel L Jacksong giving a performance that is a revelation in itself. Gentle, strong, moving, powerful and funny. A film I highly recommend. Direction is consistently sensitive and intelligent.

This movie tells an amazing true story with a little Hollywood thrown in for good measure. Brendan Fraser did well in a dramatic role, and Harrison Ford was good too. It's a movie about family and friends that leave everything else behind in their lives and take extraordinary risks, measures to follow their passions, protect those they love.

She is now on par with any great actress of any era. I have found a new respect for her talent. We make choices in life every day, and you should make a choice and see this movie.

Leo McKern does an outstanding job as Bill Maguire in the movie The Day the Earth Caught Fire. He is the one who sits behind the desk and keeps putting the pieces together and provides the shocking conclusion on the disastrous effects of simultaneous nuclear detonation. Check this out!
