The Thin Man is a great detective story that is enhanced by its classiness and humor. Powell is definitely the physical comedian of the pair, with Loy looking stunning and conveying so much with the looks she gives him. This seventy year old classy and stylish film still holds up well today.

The Hangover

While few of the Hammer horror films took themselves too seriously it was in the 1970s when the cycle became almost a parody of itself and Captain Kronos, Vampire Hunter is perhaps the best example of this. Although it is a little known film it is certainly one of the best horrors, largely due to its original take on the vampire theme.

The movie is definitely unique, about a man who spends his entire life on board an ocean liner and is a fantastic piano player. The film wistfully tells its creative, capriciously unpredictable, and musical tall tale with excellence in all aspects of film from sets to sound, costume to casting, and script to screenplay.

Lover Come Back is a stylish and sophisticated sex comedy that reunited Doris Day and Rock Hudson. It's one of the wittiest and funniest comedies. It's basically about two ad rivals who hate each other even though they don't know each other in real life.
